Welcome to my blog!
I'm Emily Peyton Cook, artist and photographer. If you want to know more about my faith, family, and photography, you've come to the right place. Along with postings from the studio, you'll also find excerpts about my relationship with God and my life as a mama of a funloving 3 year old boy and a sweet sweet baby girl.
I've wanted to be a photographer for as long as I can remember. I got my first camera when I was six years old, ironically the same year I met my husband. I felt the Lord's call on my life at an early age. The call to follow Christ, create art with my hands, and to be a wife and mother has been with me from the start. My 3 passions have now all come together as I strive to live life un-compartmentalized, flowing from one source, my love for the One who rescued me at the age of 11, Jesus Christ. I believe my life is one big ministry. Whether I'm leading a discipleship group, changing diapers, or creating an image your family will treasure, I want to do it for God's glory and work as unto The Lord. My photography schedule is worked around my church and home schedule. I serve my photography clients 2 days a week, working out of my studio and on location. The other days of the week are devoted to my church and family. "As for me and my house we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15.
I would LOVE to meet you and photograph those dearest to you! As I've stated, photography is one of my deepest passions. I still wake up, after years of being in this business, in disbelief that I am living my dream. I can't believe I get paid to have fun! To the left, you'll see a link to several pages that may answer some of your questions. If you'd like more information, I'd love to set up a consultation to meet you in person during my studio hours or you are welcome to call during my office hours. I'd love to help you in any way I can. I love to make each session represent you. One of my favorite things is adding in my creativity with your ideas to create a session that is uniquely you. Contact me by phone, 901.476.7164, during my studio hours on Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., or by email any other day of the week (epcphotography@gmail.com).
