Tonight, as we were saying our good nights...
Jonah: (hands cupped gently around my face) Mama, tonight, if I have a bad dream, can I come in your room and get you and maybe sleep in your bed?
Me: Certainly, but maybe I'll tuck you back in and tell you everything is ok, it was just a dream.
Jonah: But, then, what if I have another bad dream?
Me: What was your verse for today?
Jonah: (tries to change the subject)
Me: "Do not be afraid." Acts 27:24
Why do we memorize scripture?...
To apply it! : )
God's word will not return void and often comes to memory to keep us from fear, sadness, and disobedience. I pray I will practice what I preach.

Aren't these moments so special? I think it's what I'll always remember about being a mom at this stage of life. The Spirit of The Lord speaks so much at the winding down of our day. God is so good!
