My name is Emily. I am a follower of Christ, wife, mother, and professional photographer. I started this blog almost six years ago. A lot has happened in my life since then. Much of it is documented here. I have grown in many ways, but most thankful to be continually growing in God's grace through the ups and downs. I've tried to look at this life through the lens of faith in the process. I feel God calling me away from the blog for a season. Due to spam, unwanted ads that keep popping up, and a need for privacy in my life, I have decided to let it go for a season. I will continue writing for the Leader monthly and writing privately. But, other than that, I don't have time to write positively, monitor spam, comments, and the ever more frequent annoyances of the blogging world with 3 kids under the age of five, a business to run, and a life to enjoy.
2013 has been a year of pruning. The Lord has given and He has taken away. He's been teaching me to simplify, slow down, and focus on the blessings He's given me.
I will be more guarded with my facebook posts and am only allowing people I know in the flesh to follow me on Instagram. Don't be offended if I don't accept your request there, I just want a safe place to share photos.
It has been a joy to have an outlet to write in this context for the past six years of my life and maybe one day I will have time to enjoy it again. But, for now, I need some breathing space.
Merry Christmas and best wishes in 2014 to you and yours. Thank you for reading to those who have supported this blog along the way.
